Don’t throw those toilet paper tubes away! Save them and you can use them to make this adorable Cardboard Tube Snowman craft! Paper crafts are so easy, and I love making them! This one was fun for all my kids, making it great to do with them on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon during those cold days when they get bored.
Grab the glue sticks and you can make one of these Cardboard Tube Snowman in just a few minutes time! They’re great to make with classrooms full of kids too, because they use recycled materials, and don’t take a lot of time or skill to put together. With a little bit of prep time, these could easily be made with multiple kids at once.
Cardboard Tubes (you can use toilet paper tubes, or cut paper towel tubes in half)
Black Construction Paper
Orange Construction Paper
Blue Construction Paper (or whatever color paper you want to use for his scarf)
White Construction Paper or Cardstock
Glue Stick or Elmer’s Glue
To begin, cut your cardstock to the exact length and height to wrap around your cardboard tube completely. Secure the white paper together with a piece of scotch tape. Next, use the hole punch to cut out enough black circles for his eyes, mouth, and buttons. Then cut an orange triangle for his nose, and a long thin blue strip for his scarf.
Use your glue stick or school glue and begin attaching the eyes, nose, mouth, scarf, and buttons. Allow them to try for 20-30 minutes before handling, or longer depending on how liberal your glue use was during the craft.
