Kids love fun snacks. But, who has time to spend making them? If you are a busy mom or dad, you can still make your child’s day fun by making some snowman donuts. They take hardly any time at all – I promise.
If you want to make your little one’s breakfast-on-the-go a little more special, or need a holiday classroom treat, you need to make these super cute Snowman Donuts! You can make your own as we did, or you can buy pre-packaged white powder donuts. If you’re making a classroom treat, you’d probably be better off buying pre-packaged donuts for health and safety rules.
Wouldn’t these be so cute to add a surprise to your child’s lunchbox? I know my kids would love it if I did this for them! Sometimes all it takes is a little effort like this to make our kids feel special.
These also make the perfect craft idea for a school party! I know our kids’ have a winter party, rather than Christmas or holiday, so they love snowman craft ideas. Just put the donuts in the bags and let the kids decorate them with different colored ribbons, buttons and more! They will have a ball!!!
How to Make Snowman Donuts
White powdered donuts
Mini black buttons
Glue dots (or hot glue gun with sticks)
Ribbon (any color)
Permanent marker (black)
Orange construction paper or
Take three white powdered donuts, and place them in your clear cellophane treat bag. You can find them in the party section at Walmart or you can if you would rather shop that way. Use the twist ties that came with them to seal the open end of the bag. Use glue dots to attach the three buttons down the front of the snowman.
Use the ribbon to tie a scarf. The length should be long enough to so it looks like a scarf. This will be around 6″ or so (depending on how much you want to hang down).
Then, use your black marker to draw the eyes and mouth. Cut a small triangle nose from the construction paper or washi paper and glue it on the face. I opt for washi tape it as it easier to use, but again, construction paper works too, if you already have that on hand.
That’s all there is to making these adorable Snowman Donuts! How will you use them this winter?
